anyone ever had a palm bonsai, i really like palms was just wondering what the best palm would be to bonsai i had a look for some pictures and ponytail palms look pretty good as bonsai also was thinking of maybe certain grasses or bamboo? anyone had any experience with them?

When the bases have grow really wide and huge, the trunks have been stumped and allowed to be regorwn and are kept tidy and healthy I think they look really good in a nice bonsai pot.
Some people will say they can't be "bonsai"...so when they are around you can just call it an accent plant.

I see a lot of little Sago Palms for sell down here. The seem to have a pretty small leaf....or palms....or whatever you call them. If you like palms and want something small, that may be an option.

ok thanks guys... ill see what i can find really i think most of the palms ive found so far are HUGE like half metre diameter not sure if i can fit that in my little pots somehow.... oh well, i found one plant it was kinda palm-ish might get one of them ill find out what it was at least
