This big boy was planted in the pot this spring. So no style work will be done with it this year... just love, food, and water is all it will get. (aside from working the candles it will put out)

I think this tree has good potential for a Japanese slanting style. I'm very found of this style myself, but I don't own one yet. I have a cypress (I believe it is) I'm going to dig this weekend more than likely. Last time I went after it I forgot a shovel! I had everything pot, soil, tools, wire, everything but a shovel lol. And on top of that I had a major Posion Ivy attack lol. I did not know it until the next day though. But hopefully I will remember a shovel this time lol.

Wow, what a fantastic looking little tree! I noticed that you said that you just put it in a pot in the spring.....you didn't find it growing in the wild like that did you? ? Cause that tree looks way too good to just find it like that in the wild. So thick and full. I take it that you had it in the ground and were working on it there and have just recently moved it into a pot....am I correct in that line of thinking? Great tree, I wish I could find a pine that was that thick and established. Thanks for sharing the pic. I love pines, plan on planting some J. White Pine seeds this week. Keep your fingers crossed for me. Brock
