In all my travels on the web and in person where they have sold these I have never seen another one like it! No markings on it but it came from a estate sale. It measures 1 3/4in X 1 3/4in. It does look old compaired to the mudmen I've seen today. Yeah I got it off ebay for $15 sh inc but it was just too kewl to pass up! ;D Anyone else ever seen one like it?

Well Graph
I hate the the one to bring you the bad news but I doubt that you rmud man is really that old. I found a set of 6 different "bonsai masters" including the exact same one that you have for $24.99 so I doubt that they are that old.
It is a cool little mudman though. It just look like you could have gotten 5 more for 10 more bucks....The series is cool though.
I was thinking about buying the set myself.

Hey man. While I think this isn't a common design for a mudman I don't think it is a rare piece nor an old piece. From what I have seen of the Antiques, they are richly colored and very detailed. This guy doens't have that detail and his painting isn't near perfect at all.
That said its a very nice piece and I'd be proud to have it if I were you. From searching around the net, you paid the average price for it so you should be really happy with it. Up here where I am I can't find mudmen at all. I have some other ornaments that I use for the few trees I want something in. They are not important but really can add to the tree.
Enjoy your mudman, its a great find, and as usual you have a good find.

Thanx Guys. Doesn't really matter if it's old or not. Not a very common item for mudmen and I like it. Most are having tea....fishing...feeding geese or the like.
